The Department of Chemical Engineering hosts and sponsors a number of public events throughout the year, ranging from weekly seminars where visitors describe their recent research, to an annual lectureship, to Ph.D. thesis defenses, and special seminars and symposia, all of which substantially enhance the intellectual environment.
