Graduate Program: Interdisciplinary Programs, Institutes, and Centers

In addition to the departments which constitute the four divisions of the University (Humanities; Social Sciences; Natural Sciences; Engineering and Applied Science), Princeton also has a number of interdisciplinary programs, institutes, and centers which serve to expand the scope of research and enrich the University's intellectual environment. Depending on the unit, this enrichment may be achieved by offering seminars and courses, especially graduate courses; by providing state-of-the art research facilities; and by facilitating collaboration between investigators from different departments, especially through multi-investigator research projects. In addition, Princeton has several units which offer both seminars and courses available to chemical engineering students with interests in public policy (The Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs), ethics (The Center for Human Values), and finance (The Bendheim Center for Finance).
