Graduate Program: Interdisciplinary Units: Environment and Energy
The Princeton Environmental Institute (PEI) coordinates environmental education, research, and outreach activities at Princeton. Its associated faculty members, drawn from all four divisions of the University, share a common interest in advancing environmental research and teaching and promoting environmental programs on campus and in the surrounding community. PEI 's interdisciplinary research program has particular strengths in global change, biogeochemical cycles, molecular geochemistry, biodiversity and conservation, and environmental science and policy. PEI oversees four research centers itself: the Carbon Mitigation Initiative, the Carbon Modeling Consortium, the Center for Environmental BioInorganic Chemistry, and the Center for Biocomplexity.
