Graduate Program: Energy Technology

The Departments of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry share four fuel cell test stations, a three-cell polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell stack, test stations for preparing and characterizing novel PEM materials, and instrumentation to analyze fuel cell operation. A unique capability is the differential PEM fuel cell reactor system, which permits characterization of the dynamics of fuel cell operation under dynamic loads, variable temperature and pressure, and control system analysis.
